Event Information

Softball players in grades 8th-12th can join the Rider Rider University Softball coaching staff and players for an all-day event providing advanced skill instruction and competitive game simulations. Prospects will be provided with skill instruction structured similar to Broncs Softball team practices. You will be challenged with drills and skills to not only improve your fundamentals but to build your softball IQ and game day preparation and strategy.

Clinic Agenda: defensive skill work (to include real time game scenarios), offense skill work (to include pre-game preparation & real time game scenarios), base running, live scrimmage and game situations, and Q&A with Rider players and coaching staff.

Additional Information: Lunch not included (please plan to bring a lunch and or snacks). Please bring your own water bottle. Certified Athletic Trainer will be at the clinic. Please bring all necessary softball equipment.

Rider University Softball Fall Advanced Skills Clinic Participation Agreement, Release and Waiver The Rider University Softball Fall Advanced Skills Clinic is an all-day event providing advanced skill instruction and competitive game simulations for players in grades 8th-12th . The clinic will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 9:00am – 4:00pm. By registering for the Advanced Skills Clinic, the participant's parent or guardian agrees to the following.  In consideration for allowing my child to participate in the clinic and understanding that the participation in softball has inherent risk of injury to my child, I (we), for ourselves and on behalf of our representatives, successors and assigns, do hereby: 1) Agree that to the best of my knowledge my child is in good physical health and is physically fit to fully participate in the clinic; 2) I (we) agree to assume all risk of personal injury from my child’s participation, understanding that softball inherently involves risk; 3) WAIVE, RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS RIDER UNIVERSITY, ITS TRUSTEES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, VOLUNTEERS, REPRESENTATIVES, AND AGENTS, FROM AND AGAINST ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, COSTS (INCLUDING REASONABLE ATTORNEYS' FEES), DAMAGES OR LIABILITY FOR ANY PERSONAL INJURY TO MY CHILD ARISING FROM PARTICIPATION IN THE CLINIC. I (WE) ALSO WAIVE AND RELEASE ALL CLAIMS FOR REIMBURSEMENT OR PAYEMENT PAID OR DUE FROM THE UNDERSIGNED FOR TREATMENT OR SERVICES FOR MY CHILD; 4) Authorize Rider University to act on my child’s behalf and to obtain medical care, at my expense, that is deemed necessary in the staff’s best judgement.
